About me
Dr. Pamela J Pine (PhD, MPH, MAIA, RCHES) has been an international health, development, and communication professional throughout her adult life, concentrating on enhancing the lives of the poor and otherwise underserved groups throughout the world. For the past 2.5 decades, she has had a primary focus on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), which substantially affect emotional, physical, intellectual wellness, productivity, and outcomes. She is the Founder/ Director of Stop the Silence® - A Department of the Institute of Violence, Abuse and Trauma (IVAT). She is also a professor of public health and a multimedia artist working in oils, watercolor, pastel, song, and the written word, which she uses in her work to open hearts and minds. She is a best-selling lead author (of Stop the Silence® -Thriving After Child Sexual Abuse and chapter author in seven other award-winning books for both children and adults), a poet, and an award-winning photographer. She has worked passionately, creatively, and relentlessly for over 20 years on the prevention, treatment, and mitigation of CSA and other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
