About me
Micheleina Charles-Hazelle is an LLB (Hons) candidate at the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies, St Augustine, where she balances full-time study alongside her role as primary caregiver to her mother, who lives with a mental health condition. A national of St Kitts and Nevis, Micheleina relocated to Trinidad with her mother to pursue her legal education. Her research on mental health law reform in St Kitts and Nevis is rooted not only in constitutional scholarship but in the daily reality of navigating a system that was never designed to support people like her family.
