Jennifer Moreno, MA, LCPC, CADC, is a Clinical Director, counselor, educator, and survivor advocate with nearly two decades of experience working in mental health, substance use treatment, and trauma-informed care. A survivor of human trafficking, domestic violence, and complex trauma, Jennifer brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work with individuals and families impacted by adversity.Throughout her career, she has worked across community mental health, HIV/AIDS services, crisis intervention, outpatient treatment, and clinical leadership, supporting thousands of survivors on their paths toward safety and healing. Her work focuses on trauma recovery, substance use, adoption and identity, and the ways relationships and communities foster resilience.Jennifer holds a master’s degree in Community Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She currently serves as Clinical Director for a domestic violence agency in Illinois, where she provides clinical leadership, training, and program development.Drawing from both lived experience and professional practice, Jennifer is passionate about challenging traditional narratives around trauma and resilience and amplifying voices that are often excluded from mental health conversations.
