About me
Jeannie Bass, CPS, is a Certified Peer Specialist with over a decade of experience providing peer support in the public sector, community, and private mental health settings. She is a recognized leader in the international Hearing Voices Movement. Jeannie brings her lived experience as a voice hearer and person with psychosis spectrum experiences to create space for innovation, dialogue, and authentic human connection within traditional systems of care. She is the co-author of the Reframing Psychosis Spectrum Experiences from Cognella Publishing. Her story, and commitment to social justice have been featured in various media publications, including NBC. Since 2015, she has offered trainings and consulting for clinicians, attorneys, students, families, and people with lived experience. Jeannie currently holds a leadership role in the public mental health system and serves on the Board of Directors for Hearing Voices Network–USA.
